Sunderland College Workshop

Shimmers Hair Salon of St Helens was invited to educate the students of Sunderland College in all aspects of hair loss. "It truly was an amazing day, the students had never given a thought about Hair Loss before and through my workshop, along with my team, Leon, Emma and Aimee we really inspired the students."

Trendco Wigs sponsored our workshop and demonstrations by providing beautiful wigs for the students to work on. The students learnt how to cut and style the wigs using thinning scissors, razoring, point cutting and slicing techniques.

Some of the students hadn’t used these techniques before so it was a perfect opportunity to teach them, which would enable them to be able to cut the perfect wig.

Lynn was trained by Trevor Sorbie at the Loreal Academy, London. Having attended Trevor’s 'My New Hair' course several times it has enabled me to spread my knowledge of wig styling skills and awareness in hair loss to the students

The hairdressing students loved the idea also of attending and gaining the qualification on the 'My New Hair' course in London so they too can go on to be admirable stylists for prospective hair loss clients.
